I forgot to take my measurements before I began my juice fast last Monday. I did, however take them Tuesday afternoon. As of today, here are the results:
Neck: no change
Waist: -TWO INCHES!!
Bust: -TWO INCHES!! (Can you say, "Bye-bye back flab!"?)
Total: -SIX INCHES!!!
I rebounded a few pounds of my 10 pound cleanse loss, but right now I'm hanging at 8 pounds gone. I'm totally good with that! My official weigh-in day is Thursday, so we'll see where I land then.
There is certainly a learning curve with this new eating plan. Where I seem to slip is staying on schedule. I want to be eating every 2-3 hours. Today has been better, so maybe I'm getting the hang of it. :-)
Here's the general outline:
A 400 calorie breakfast.
Three 100 calorie mini-meals.
A 400 calorie dinner.
100 calories for a treat.
Right now, I'm trying to avoid grain carbs, and seriously limiting alcohol and sugar. That's about it. I love me a simple plan that works!!
I've also been working on my "Why?". The Take Shape For Life plan encourages participants to determine why they are endeavoring to get healthier. For me, the simple answer is, "I want my outside to match my inside." There is much more to that, a whole laundry list of areas touched by that statement. But that's between me, myself, and I. ;-)
If you ask yourself "why?", what do you immediately hear? What's your gut reaction? If you don't know, take the time to think about it. I truly believe that this is going to be a key element for me!
